Standard Banners

Creative constructed in standard web-image formats such as GIF, JPEG, PNG and HTML5 executions of any of the dimensions listed below are considered standard banner ads. Such creative may be hosted by SCA’s internal ad-serving system  or delivered via redirect tags hosted by a third party ad-serving vendor.  Executions involving audio, video, and file sizes over 100KB etc. are considered as rich media banners and are required to be hosted by a third party ad serving vendor or SCA’s rich media partner at an additional CPM charge.

Rich Media Banners

Rich Media Ads must be delivered to SCA via 3rd Party Ad Tags (generated through Sizmek, Doubleclick, Atlas etc).  SCA can serve rich media in their own third party account for an additional $CPM charge. Please inform your SCA representative, who will work in conjunction with the digital trafficking team, to assist with this solution. The third party ad tags and instructions must be sent to SCA 5 working days prior to live date to allow enough time to test and load. Please ensure that a solid colour background is used in the bottom layer of all ads. Sound must be click initiated by the user and pre-approved by SCA in all instances.

Expandable Banners

Expandable banners are Rich Media Ads that expand in size when a user rolls over or clicks on them. They reveal more advertising information and are designed to grab the attention of the user. SCA requires a ‘close’ button always be included and positioned in the expanded area of the ad. It should appear immediately on the first full frame of the expanded panel’s animation. When closed, the ad must allow users to click on links on the webpage that would otherwise be covered when the ad has expanded.

Video

A pre roll video is a video advertisement that appears directly preceding piece of video content video.  With additional layers of interactivity added on top of the clip via VPAID ad formats, advertisers can engage consumers in a direct way.

InRead videos are integrated into content, enabling highly viewable and non-intrusive video advertising.  When a user scrolls down on the page the video will appear with the sound muted. When your mouse is on the video the sound will start playing. Once the video is done playing, the ad will collapse.
