The Scho must go on! Former West Coast Eagles player, Will Schofield, has been announced to cover for Hit92.9’s Xavier Ellis when Ellis takes a short break from breakfast radio to welcome baby number two with his wife, Emily.

Having played 14 seasons with the Club, Schofield is no stranger to a bit of banter with team mates. This experience puts him in good stead as he joins co-hosts Juelz Jarry and Pete Curulli in the studio to give his spin on all things local, music, celebrity and of course, sport.

Schofield said: “Xav’s shoes are big ones to fill − even bigger than the grooves in his chair. It will be short but sweet, but I’ll do my best not to damage the springs or upholstery… No guarantees though, as I too am a washed up AFL player.”

Xavier claimed, despite his big shoes, he was confident his temporary replacement has what it takes, but warned Will not to get too comfortable in his chair. “I’m thrilled to get a former teammate in to fill my grooves for a couple of weeks,” Xavier said.

“Looking at Will’s head his last couple of seasons has been stressful. Hopefully he can sit back, relax and have some fun with Pete, Juelz and Perth while I enjoy time with my growing family.”

Fans of Schofield will be delighted to get their fix of the popular AFL star from Monday 2 November − only on Hit92.9.

Xavier, Juelz & Pete – join in all the fun, weekdays from 6am, as the guys laugh with their favourite celebrity friends, play the hottest hits and old school songs, and offer up epic prizes and memorable experiences.
