The BBC’s legendary radio show, Desert Island Discs, is one of the longest running shows in the world. Loved for its intimate conversations with some of the biggest names in the world, Desert Island Discs is now available on LiSTNR.

The premise of the show is for guests, known as ‘castaways’ to share eight tracks, a book and a luxury: what would you take to a deserted island? The soundtrack of guests’ lives sits side by side stories of inspirational highs, gut wrenching lows and everything in between as guests stitch together a story of themselves in eights songs that reveal why they chose paths that eventually delivered them infamy and fame.

With more than 3,000 episodes, and in its 79th year, Desert Island Discs is the longest-running radio program in the UK. Desert Island Discs is presented by radio DJ, model, television presenter, author and singer
Lauren Laverne and some notable guests have included comedian Alexei Sayle, actor Billie Piper, Archbishop Desmond Tutu and activist Malala Yousafzai.

The episodes available on LiSTNR will include some of the biggest names across sport, entertainment and business including Sir David Attenborough, David Beckham, Sheryl Sandberg, Ed Sheeran and Louis Theroux.

Desert Island Discs is available now on the LiSTNR app.
