Southern Cross Austereo’s annual Give Me 5 for Kids fundraiser launched in June 2019 and with the overwhelming support of local communities around Australia, $2,586,342.71 was raised this year for regional children’s hospitals and other children’s health-related charities.

In its 25th year, Give Me 5 for Kids has now raised over $28.5 million since 1994 for paediatric wards of local hospitals and children’s health-related charities across SCA’s 38 regional markets.

This year Give Me 5 for Kids was supported by 2019 ambassadors, TV & media personality Shelley Craft, NRL Manly Sea Eagles player Trent Hodkinson and social media influencer Kat Springer, aka The Organised Housewife.

Local markets created an action-packed calendar of events this year including long lunches, fundraising walks, race days, bake sales and more encouraging the local community to get involved and dig deep.

John Kelly, Give Me 5 For Kids Director and Southern Cross Austereo Chief Operating Officer said; “We are delighted and humbled by the incredible community support we have received yet again for the Give Me Five for Kids fundraising initiative.”

“I would like to thank all those people who over many years have given their time and their money to contribute to the extraordinary ongoing success of Give Me 5 for Kids,” he said.
Thanks to the open hearts and generosity of the public, Give Me 5 for Kids will continue to raise more funds annually for our local children’s hospital wards and make a real difference to the lives of sick local kids.
